No doubt, the tech ecosystem in Nigeria, maybe even Africa and the world have knowingly or unknowingly neglected the female folks. It is now great that we have organizations that targets these females specifically, provide better access to capital, mentorship and what have you.
She Leads Africa is a social enterprise which is aimed at supporting young African women. They have opened applications for this year’s 3-month accelerator programme, a programme which is designed to identify, support and fund the next generation of the brightest female entrepreneurs in Africa. The accelerator is open to technology-enabled businesses across the country.
At the beginning, this 2018 Accelerator will feature three 1-week bootcamps in Lagos. This is where entrepreneurs will receive training from the SLA team, business leaders and experts. The trainings to be received at these bootcamps would revolve round business strategy, growth, marketing, finance and distribution.

Till this period, the SLA Accelerator has trained over 30 entrepreneurs while giving out over ₦15 million in funding.
Partners of the SLA Accelerator 2018 include the Work in Progress! Alliance, Oxfam, Butterfly Works and VC4A. Also, they boast of support from Lagos Innovates, an initiative of Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF).
