After operating solely in Nigeria for about five plus years, Hotels.ng, Nigeria’s largest hotel-booking platform, is set to take on Africa with the launch of two new platforms Fly.africa and Hotel.africa
This announcement is something we had been anticipating for a while from this Travel Tech Startup; recall that In May 2015, Techcrunch reported that Hotels.ng raised $1.2 million to expand across Africa and one of the questions I personally had was, what country will be next for hotels.ng? Surprisingly, rather than take a single country or two, they decided to roll out Pan-African.
A great way to start the year 2018 I must say. With a mission to make every hotel in Africa available to be booked online, Hotel.africa, the company’s Africa focused brand, currently has over 25,000 properties listed across many cities in Africa while Fly.africa is focused on flights within and outside the continent. Having run quite a remarkable operation in Nigeria, I have no doubt that within a short while Hotel.africa and Fly.africa would soon become the go to sites for tourists visiting Africa, Africans in Diaspora visiting home and other individuals visiting Africa for Business purposes.
Kudos to the hotels.ng Team.
