TechCrunch battlefield is an event that brings the world’s top early stage startups together on one stage. The most recent public tech company, Dropbox, also prides itself as one of the winners of the battlefield.

Well, TechCrunch is headed back to Africa with an aim of finding the next wave of early-stage Startups. These startups, they say, must be tackling very big ideas! The previous edition of TechCrunch’s Startup Battlefield was held in Nairobi, Kenya. The event featured up to 15 early-stage startups from across the continent.

There is no doubt that with these developments, the western world are getting quite interested in the tech startup scene in sub-Saharan Africa. As a result, the team at TechCrunch are looking forward to meeting the next crop of innovators in the coming weeks.
