Jumia extends free delivery service to 4 more cities

Before now, free delivery service on Jumia had only been restricted to Lagos and for orders above N15,000. However, following growing customer demands for this service to be extended to other cities in the country, Jumia has announced the extension of Jumia Express to some other cities. Cities like Abuja, Port Harcourt, Ibadan and Abeokuta can now enjoy free delivery service.

On the other hand, large items such as Air Conditioning, Dishwasher, Fridge/Freezer, Fitness machines, Home furniture, Mirror, Rug, Musical instrument, Television, etc. can not be shipped to customers for free. But, customers can trust the platform to receive their orders within the stipulated timeline.

 

Time and location of orders, and stipulated delivery period

*Orders placed before 12pm (within Lagos) – 1 business day

*Orders placed before 12pm (Port Harcourt, Ibadan, Abuja, Abeokuta) – 2 business days

*Other cities – 5 business days

The issue of Pay on Delivery and free shipping have caused some sort of online rage from customers. And it is great that Jumia, as a company is taking steps to end this. Extending Jumia express to other cities is sure to improve patronage from customers in these cities as delivery fees are now out of mind.
