It is pertinent that important conversations about an ecosystem and its startups are held to enable growth in the sector. Conversations, meet-up, manifestos and events need to be organized and attended by stakeholders for a tech sector to achieve its true potential. Diamond bank is doing this with TechFest.
Just like the Lagos Startup Week, the Diamond bank TechFest is a two day event that wants to hold conversations about home-grown startups who are using technology to change the Nigerian narrative. It isn’t uncommon knowledge that the growth of these startups have been on the highside lately and they are worth being celebrated.
TechFest, which invites everyone – not necessarily “techies” – is slated to hold on May 15 and 16 at the Landmark Event Center, Oniru, Lagos. The organizers, Diamond Bank is collaborating with partners like MTN, Visa, Microsoft, NIBSS, Deloitte, Interswitch and Beat FM to make this happen.
As part of the program, there will be exhibitions, a lounge for techpreneurs to network with angel investors, partners and other collaborators. A special event called “Battle of The Hubs” will also be held where 5 incubation hubs will put two of their best startups against each other. Ventures platform, CoLab are part of these hubs that’ll take part.
