Truth is, products – whether tech or physical products – are not complete until they have a great design. Designers have as much importance as marketers when it comes to products. This is because a bad design does not do anyone any good.
Organized by Namnso Ukpanah, a UX and UI designer at hotels.ng, Figma is an almost 3 hour event that wants to take a deep dive into the contexts of what it truly means to be a designer in 2018 in the Nigerian Tech Ecosystem.
Are you a designer, UX designer, UI designer, User Researcher, Interactive designer, developer, PM or you operate in any other field in the tech world. Do you have an interest in learning more about design processes of other designers and want to know more about how a well thought out process influences the change designers bring about? The Figma meetup event would address our social needs through the use of design and throw more light on how to get our works noticed by the International design community. In addition to the programs in this event, discussions on how to become a world-class designer and how to get started would be made. You will also get to experience and take part in a Live Design Session in Figma collaboratively, play fun trivia games and win lots of awesome prizes.
I think we have come to a time where products with a bad design are rejected and not at all appealing to customers. It is only right if we enlighten people and know what it takes to have a great design. The event is slated for 5th May, 2018.
